About the position

QUALIFICATIONS

 For appointment to this post, a candidate must have;

• Relevant Diploma in Administration/record keeping management/Biochemistry any other related field;
• A degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
• 1-2 Years of Experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• The person will be responsible for registering(‘’logging’’) samples on the laboratory information system(MT) and placing samples into clear zip lock bags for forwarding to sample receiving section according to set standard operating procedures.
• The person will be receiving samples and confirming that information on samples corresponds with the data that has been loaded by the logging section according to set standard operating procedures.
• The person to ensure sorting and distribution of samples according to the set standard operating procedures to ensure the correct and prioritized channeling of specimens to various sites and departments.
• The person will be physically receiving samples from various depots/branches and checking the waybill to confirm correctness as well as shipping lists and patients correspond according to standard operating procedures.
• The person will ensure basic housekeeping including suitable cleaning and preparation of equipment components according to set standard operating procedures.
